1985 MR2 Update 12
This isn't actually an update on the 85... the update on the 85 is we're waiting for seals/gaskets to come in that SHOULD have been included in the master gasket set we bought (thanks Toyota!), Mike, however, has been harassing the parts guys regarding what we didn't get, so that's a plus :), Thanks Mike!! Here is what we have been doing though...
My 89 5 speed with what appears to be an aftermarket LSD (transmission sealant was black instead of Toyota factory orange). This is before...
and this... leaking seals at the axle stubs (ordered replacements... in Thursday).
Now this is what Dad can do with a sandblaster and a can of silver paint... oh, and some black for the accessories.

These suckers look fantastic on the car! Sorry I didn't get better pictures, I was working in a tight space with limited lighting options. The tight space can be noted by the front fiberglass widebody 65 Mustang fender in the foreground.
And this is what we did this morning... scrap metal run!! Say goodbye to the rusty ole 87!!
Everything left was pretty ratty, broken, rusted, or otherwise demolished. Even the hood was fairly rusty up underneath as well as the trunk and decklid.
